It is all too easy in trading to focus on how much one can make as opposed to how much one can lose! However, a seasoned trader’s approach will always concentrate upon the risks being taken for the requisite reward.
In this presentation, we will address the issue of risk specifically in the context of any successful trader’s overall approach to the market. Whichever market, timeframe, or approach a trader uses to exploit their ‘edge’, the subject of risk is always critical to long term performance.
Here is a brief outline that we will cover:
What is Risk?
• How do we define it?
• Considerations in determining your Risk Profile.
How to quantify Risk in your trade plan.
• Essential calculations every trader should know
• Correlation issues
• Risk Budgeting
Properly assessing risk by trade.
• Stop placement-key aspects
